Ground-breaking adventure motorcyclist Ted Simon will be joining us at ABR Festival 2026

We’re delighted to reveal that the godfather of adventure biking, Ted Simon, will be appearing at ABR Festival 2026.

Best known as the author of the ground-breaking book Jupiter’s Travels, Ted inspired generations of motorcyclists to chase their own adventures. First published in 1979, the book chronicles his remarkable four-year journey around the world on a 500cc Triumph Tiger, during which he travelled more than 60,000 miles across dozens of countries.

What began as a personal quest to understand the world became one of the defining travel stories in motorcycling. Jupiter’s Travels has inspired countless riders to set off on their own journeys, including actor Ewan McGregor, who has cited the book as a key influence behind the landmark motorcycle travel series Long Way Round.

Ted’s remarkable journey continues to resonate with riders searching for something beyond the next horizon.

Visitors to ABR Festival will have the chance to see Ted in person on Friday 26 June, where he’ll be appearing on the Bridgestone Stage and speaking in the Travellers’ Tent.

Ted will also be signing copies of his iconic book Jupiter’s Travels, giving festivalgoers the rare opportunity to meet one of the pioneers of modern adventure motorcycling.

If Ted’s remarkable journey helped spark your passion for adventure riding, this is a chance to hear directly from the man who started it all. Weekend Tickets are disappearing fast, so book yours now before it’s too late.

Ted is just the first of many speakers set to appear at ABR Festival 2026, with a packed lineup still to be revealed. Keep an eye on our socials, the ABR Festival website and your inbox for more big announcements coming soon.
