THE HELLY HANSEN DOME
ALAN HINKES

In 2005, Alan Hinkes stood on top of Kangchenjunga and became the first Briton to climb all fourteen of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks. To put that in perspective: at the time, more people had walked on the moon. This June, he’s joining us at The Dome to share the stories from one of the most extraordinary mountaineering careers in British history, and to reveal just how far he had to go to survive it.
KENTON COOL

Kenton Cool is arriving at The Dome fresh from his 20th ascent of Everest, a record for any non-Sherpa climber. One of Britain’s most accomplished high-altitude mountaineers, Kenton has conquered the Seven Summits and remains the only Briton to have skied down two 8,000-metre peaks. Appearing on Friday, he’ll share the story of what keeps drawing him back to Everest, how the mountain has changed, and what it takes to keep going at the very highest altitudes on Earth.
ANDY KIRKPATRICK

One of the world’s foremost winter and big-wall climbers, and one of the outdoors’ funniest speakers. Andy Kirkpatrick has made a career of tackling vertical climbs of over 1,000 metres in temperatures as low as –30°C, and an equal career out of telling the stories afterwards. Climbing magazine describes him as having a reputation “for seeking out routes where the danger is real, and the return is questionable.” His award-winning autobiography is titled Psycho Vertical. That should tell you everything.
JORDAN WYLIE MBE

Former soldier, extreme adventurer, bestselling author, and one of the stars of Channel 4’s Hunted and Celebrity Hunted. Jordan has run marathons through Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia, rowed the pirate-infested Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and climbed Kilimanjaro barefoot. Awarded an MBE by King Charles III in 2023 for services to charity and education, Jordan is heading to The Dome to share stories from a life lived at the far edge of endurance.
JOHN BLASHFORD-SNELL CBE

One of the planet’s most renowned explorers, Sir John has completed more than 100 expeditions over the last 50 years. From leading the first vehicle crossing of the Darién Gap to the first descent of the Blue Nile, his career helped define modern exploration. This summer, he brings the stories behind these extraordinary achievements to The Dome.
DAVE TALBOT

The perfect host for The Dome. Dave Talbot is a seasoned adventure professional and lifelong motorcyclist who has spent the last 18 years helping everyday adventurers push their boundaries. Most recently, he rode a V-Strom to the Julian Alps in Slovenia to climb the near-mile-high vertical north wall of Triglav, the country’s highest mountain. Mountains and motorcycles make him exactly the right man for the job.
GRAHAM HOYLAND

Graham Hoyland’s great-uncle Howard Somervell was on the 1924 Everest expedition with George Mallory and Sandy Irvine. Graham himself was the 15th Briton to reach the Everest summit. A mountaineer, sailor, author, and filmmaker, he’s coming to The Dome to share the stories behind a life in high places, and to reveal the case behind his latest book First on Everest – The Life of Howard Somervell, which argues hig great-uncle may have beaten Mallory to the top.
THE TURNER TWINS

In 1924, George Mallory and Sandy Irvine set out on their fateful attempt to summit Everest. One hundred years on, identical twins Ross and Hugo Turner reimagined the expedition. Last October, they summited Nepal’s Mera Peak (6,476m) with one twin wearing exact replicas of Mallory’s 1924 kit (hand-stitched wool, custom Crockett & Jones boots) while the other wore cutting-edge modern gear. Working with the University of Portsmouth, they conducted scientific testing throughout the climb. They’re heading to The Dome to reveal the results. Between them, the twins have also rowed the Atlantic, reached multiple Poles of Inaccessibility, and set a world altitude record in a tandem electric paramotor.
CHARLEY BOORMAN

Long Way Round star Charley Boorman is heading to the ABR Festival this June to share stories from a life on the road, including two decades and countless miles riding alongside Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor. Charley will be at the festival all weekend, from talking bikes on the Ducati Stage and the Bridgestone Stage to sharing stories from his travels at The Dome. You may even bump into him having a chat with other riders and soaking up the atmosphere.

A rock climber, horse rider, and adventure motorcyclist, she’s heading to The Dome to reveal how breathwork can be used to improve performance, balance, and mental well-being on and off the bike.
